Flora & Fauna sightings in Springside Nature Reserve

Trish Dinkelman responded to our request for photos taken during visits to Springside Nature Reserve with the news of her sighting near the small weir on 17 January this year (2020) of a Mountain Wagtail, not previously seen in Springside Nature Reserve. Another of Trish’s notifications, was the first record received of the Eulophia parvilabris in Springside Nature Reserve. proving the importance of visitors to Springside Nature Reserve reporting their observations, preferably with supporting photographs.

Alan Taylor, a regular on the monthly Bird Walks, also reported a first-timer, a Red-backed Shrike a non-breeding summer visitor, seen during his walk on 17 December 2019, but unfortunately no supporting photograph.
